Relationship workshop connects with participants!
The inaugural “Building Strong & Respectful Relationships” program was a resounding success. Participants from all walks of life attended the intensive six day program on Gabriola Island. People left the program with a renewed sense of what is possible and the tools to identify and work through their relationship issues. They went back to their lives with a genuine felt sense of what it means to be committed to working at making their relationships good.
In addition, they gained a deeper understanding of the role of empathy in their lives and work, and a compassionate view of how events take place. They were able to examine their present communication style and how it was working for them. They were exposed to tools and practice sessions to assist in fully and compassionately expressing themselves to others and to deeply listen for what's alive in them. They had practical tools to move their conversations beyond polarized views to a deeper level that expresses everyone's values and needs.
Thanks to The Haven for providing a wonderful supportive environment, and for everyone who helped make the program such an innovative and fun project to be a part of! We're looking forward to Building Conscious Use of Power April 13- 17, 2012 and our next Building Personal Mastery program coming in the fall of 2013 – at the Haven on Gabriola Island.
