The Inner Activist is a leadership education program that is part of a global movement rooted in social justice, equity, self-awareness and our place in nature. Our comprehensive curriculum integrates traditional leadership tools from seven innovative approaches. We then go beyond these approaches to facilitate the unpredictable, powerful learning that happens in community when we work on our own diversity and conflicts in moment-to-moment relationships. We provide change makers new tools to transform intractable problems, deeply value diversity in all its forms, and lead with authenticity and compassion.

EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INTERCULTURAL EDUCATION
This approach embeds and integrates a critical consciousness and social justice analysis to leadership development. Often using a popular education framework, it incorporates the larger contextual, social systems of power and privilege that impact individuals and groups. This is crucial to building effective and respectful relationships across difference and our ability to develop as fully inclusive leaders to create lasting change. Learn more
Grounded in social movement organizing throughout the world, popular education is a participatory, creative and empowering process. Building on participant knowledge and experience, its method of developing critical analysis strengthens collective capacity for social transformation. Learn more
